While most business owners or entrepreneurs try their best to provide a safe working environment for their staff, there are specific requirements that your business needs to meet, depending on the industry that you are in.
The Occupational Health and Safety act, Act 85 of 1993 sets out specific requirements that all businesses must adhere to. In order for your company to comply with legislation, an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) is required. This will then produce a Health and Safety File.
In the case of a client who employs a full-time safety professional who is absent from work, Safety for Africa will send a replacement Safety Officer to perform the safety duties on the days that they are not available.
